Family Law & Family Rights Section

Background and Overview

The LAWASIA Family Law & Family Rights Section was formed for the following reasons:-
 
  • To establish a vehicle for the free interchange of information between the lawyers of LAWASIA about developments in the area of Family Law and laws protecting human rights of families and children;
  • To be an advocate for the human rights of families and children; and
  • To provide lawyers of the Asia-Pacific region, greater facilities for input in the formation of international treaties and laws realating to families and children.
The section arranges a biennial Family Law and Children's Rights Conference which has becone a must-attend event for both lawyers and their industry partners in the child justice sector.
