Tran Viet Dung holds PhD of Law Degree from National University of Singapore (NUS). He obtained his LL.B Degree from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law in 2000. In addition, he also read international studies in the Peoples’ Friendship University of Russia (Russia) and international trade policy program at Harvard Kennedy School (USA).
His main areas of practice are general corporate, mergers and acquisitions, equity capital market, competition policy, foreign investment in Vietnam and international trade law.
Dr Tran has been extensively involved in work for multinational companies with respect to their investment in Vietnam, as well as leading Vietnamese companies in their overseas investments and international trade. He has been involved in various capital market transactions, including public offerings of shares of Vietnamese enterprises on the Singapore Exchange (SGX).
Dr Tran is lecturing laws at HCMC University of Law, University of West England and Singapore Management University. He has written and published articles on international trade, competition policy and foreign investment in Vietnam. Dr Tran also presents and participates in panel discussions at regional and local conferences on Vietnam-business law related topics. Dr Tran Viet Dung fluents in Vietnamese, English and Russian.
