Ms Chisako Takaya

Partner | Mori Hamada & Matsumoto (JAPAN)

Chisako Takaya is a partner with Mori, Hamada & Matsumoto and practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, labour law and general corporate law. She has an LL.B from the University of Tokyo, an LL.M from Cornell Law School and is admitted to practice in Japan and New York.

After graduating from Cornell Law School, Chisako was with Arthur Loke Bernard Rada and Lee in Singapore (1999-2000) and with Kochhar & Co. in New Delhi (2000) as a legal trainee.

Aside from being a member of LAWASIA's Executive Committee since 2016, Ms Takaya is also Vice Chair of the Committee on International Relations, Japan Federation of Bar Associations and Vice Chair of the Labour and Employment Committee, Dai-ni Tokyo Bar Association.
