Business & Human Rights during COVID-19 (including Digital, Contact Tracing and Surveillance)

 

Several states like Singapore, Australia and India have created contact tracing apps, while others, such and Hong Kong, Taiwan and China, are employing mobile tracking, geofencing and other digital surveillance methods to track the spread of COVID-19 and enforce quarantines. This session will explore the privacy concerns that arise in the context of these methods, across several LAWASIA jurisdictions.
