LAWASIA membership operates on an annual schedule running from 1 July to 30 June.

*Young Lawyer = Legal practitioners (including barristers) in their first five years of practice or ≤35 years of age, law students or recent law graduates.

Sections and Committees.

Sections and committees hold regular activities, usually specialist conferences/seminars and webinars in their own area of interest. They contribute to the LAWASIA annual conference programs, as well as LAWASIA publications. All members are entitled to join one section or committee at no charge. For those wishing to join more than one section or committee, a sliding scale of fees* applies:

1st Choice (Included) + 2nd Choice (AUD25) + 3rd Choice (AUD15) + 4th Choice (AUD10) + 5th Choice (AUD10)

*Exclusive of 10% GST

Jurisdictional Categories:

LAWASIA recognises the differing economic conditions in the jurisdictions/territories of our region and offers three categories of membership that have been set according to an individual member’s jurisdiction/territory of residence.

Category A: Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Cambodia, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Nepal, Peru, Solomon Islands
